How It Started

A community showed up for our family. Now we show up for others.

In 2014, Zac and Samantha Czerniewski welcomed their daughter Paislee Jo into the world. She was born with CHARGE Syndrome and spent her first three months in the NICU.

What carried their family through wasn't just medical care. It was people. Neighbors, friends, and strangers who showed up, gave generously, and refused to let them carry it alone.

Paislee Jo kept surprising everyone. Her spirit, her determination, and her joy for life became the reason for something bigger.

PJs People was built on one simple belief: no family should have to walk this road without a community behind them.

PJs People is still run by the same people who started it. Our board is our family. This work is personal to every one of us.

Meet Paislee Jo

She is the reason this exists.

Paislee Jo is Zac and Samantha's daughter. She was born in 2014 with CHARGE Syndrome and spent her first three months in the NICU.

At 12 years old, she has faced more than most people will in a lifetime. And she has done it with a spirit, determination, and genuine zest for life that amazes everyone around her.

PJs People carries her name because she is the reason her parents knew this work mattered. And because families like hers deserve a community that shows up.
